Locally owned and operated with over 35 years experience, First Lock & Security provides a full range of exceptional locksmith services for both businesses and homes in Los Altos and surrounding areas.
Owner Gary Lekan began his locksmith career in January of 1976 at a small lockshop in Mount Prospect Illinois. Working the first two weeks for free because, as the owner told him “he was learning skills that would give him a career for a lifetime”, he began the journey that would bring him to California and gain experience in the trade.
Later that year he moved west with them and opened up a San Francisco location.
He moved to the peninsula where he worked at other locksmith companies and furthered his development in the security field technically and as a manager, facilitating organizational processes, developing technical training, human relations and expansion into new markets.
The time came, and in 2007, Gary founded 1st Lock & Security Technologies to bring his enthusiasm for the trade and client satisfaction to reality.
In 2013 our we opened our brick and mortar location near the borders of Palo Alto, Los Altos and Mountain View. Located at 905 N. San Antonio Rd. Los Altos, just south of El Camino Real.
